Amazon, Fair Isaac and Honeywell will present
in Dash's Pre-Conference Workshop at INFORMS
May 4th 2003 - Phoenix, Arizona
Dash Optimization are organising a Pre-Conference
Workshop at the Third
Annual INFORMS Conference on OR/MS Practice. The speakers include
Fair Isaac, Honeywell and Amazon.com. The Pre-Conference will be
held on Sunday May 4th, 2003 from 8:00am to 12:30pm.
This workshop will provide participants with an
insight into new modeling and optimization techniques with first-hand
accounts of leading business practitioners on how they are currently
using optimization to solve practical problems.
Presentations from Dash Optimization customers
will focus on how these leading practitioners currently use Xpress-MP
to optimize their business processes. Fair
Isaac will talk about how they are successfully applying
technologies combining Business Rules and Optimization. Honeywell
will describe how they developed a product for Refinery Planning
using Xpress-Mosel. Amazon.com will
talk about Supply Chain Planning & Optimization.
Presentations given by modeling experts from Dash
Optimization will be technical in nature touching on novel ways
of modeling existing business problems using linear, mixed integer,
quadratic, non-linear, stochastic, and constraint programming techniques.
The feature presentation will focus on new technologies combining
Mixed Integer and Constraint Programming to solve the planning and
scheduling problems commonly encountered in the process and manufacturing
industries. These technologies - while still in the proof-of-concept
phase - are being applied at Barbot, BASF, PSA Peugeot Citroën,
and Procter & Gamble.
