Alan Dormer is presenting at the CORS/INFORMS
Joint International Meeting in Banff, Alberta, Canada to be held
May 16-19 2004
He is giving a talk entitled 'Xpress-CP: A new
software component for solving planning and scheduling problems',
Tuesday May 18 2:00pm - 3:00pm.
Xpress-CP solves the planning and scheduling
problem, which is very common in industry and commerce. These
problems are typically solved separately with different techniques
in different environments. Xpress-CP uses a common representation
of the problem and a combination of MIP and CP techniques to solve
the problem simultaneously. The paper discusses the motivation,
technology, experience and potential applications of the technology.
