News - Dash Optimization to present at ISMP 2006

Dash Optimization will be presenting at the ISMP 2006, the 19th International symposium on Mathematical Programming in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on July 30 - August 4.

The Dash Optimization presentation by Alkis Vazacopoulos entitled "State-of-the-Optimization Using Xpress-MP" will focus on the state of the Xpress-MP v2006 Linear Programming (LP) and Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) solvers. Some new features of v2006 will be described including: the addition of in-tree cuts for parallel MIP, a feasibility pump heuristic, a 64 bit version, and improved solutions and preprocessing interfaces. The efficiency of the v2006 Xpress solvers and the impact of the new features (parallel computing, 64 bit, FP heuristic) will be demonstrated in publicly available benchmarks as well as on thousands of real problems.
